Custom fiber optic interconnects for demanding applications

Archer OpTx manufactures the highest precision molded glass Lenses in the world and is leveraging its expertise in lens design, fabrication and metrology to expand its offering with custom fiber optic interconnects for demanding applications in laser delivery, signal conditioning and sensing.

Archer OpTx found a natural extension to its product line by integrating a spectrum of custom ultra-precision Fiber Optic solutions for the numerous, ever growing and evolving fields manipulating light for their applications. Developers of instrumentation, increasingly use hybrid free-space/fiber approaches to create products that are more configurable and versatile. By expanding with our new capabilities, customers have a straightforward path to integrating components and interfacing between subsystems. Utilizing the most sophisticated alignment and metrology equipment, Archer OpTx supports high accuracy single mode and multimode processing and cabling application requirements with specialty splicing, polishing, and multi-wavelength testing from UV to NIR.

Polarization maintaining cables are particularly challenging; Archer OpTx has developed a process to consistently deliver industry leading performance. The development of this process was customer driven. We are now delivering low stress fusion spliced assemblies, including endcaps, with high polarization extinction ratio (PER) and no degradation of beam quality.

Archer OpTx has an efficient quality control system where 100% of the assemblies are inspected and tested. Applications requirements for high accuracy collimators and coupling, high PER UV/VIS/NIR polarization maintaining patchcords, laser beam delivery, photonic crystal fiber interfacing can be achieved for single and multi-fiber cables.
